Kimolos

This island had been on my ‘list’ for a while. I envisioned it as a mini version of Milos ….it was not at all like Milos.   Instead we found it a bit of a curious place.  We stayed at a cute boutique hotel in the middle of nowhere…but we could walk to town in about 30-40 minutes.  The island is very local, not many tourists when we visited in July of 2016.  The main square of the village was very lively, but as soon as we ventured away we could easily get lost in the streets (something I love incidentally).  One evening during our stroll, we actually discovered another small ‘square’ with some cute bars, shops and restaurants that we had managed to miss our first few days…

One of our days there we took a boat trip to neighboring Polyaigos – an uninhabited island said to have the best beaches and water….if you go to Kimolos, a day trip to Polyaigos is a must….
