Aegina

This island is one of the closest in proximity to Athens (Pireaus) and is great for a day or weekend-trip from Athens if time is an issue.  This island is famous for its pistachios (and pistachio products – spreads, nut butters, ice cream, etc.) but also has historical significance with the Temple of Aphaea.    The main port is lined with cafes, restaurants and shops but just behind the main road you will find small charming streets that feature some of the better restaurants and shops.

  1. Some fabulous photos here! I used to live in Aegina for a short while, and your photos brought back fond memories. Since then, we have visited Aegina many times by yacht, as we spend the summer months living aboard and floating round the Greek islands.

  2. Long time supporter, and thought I’d drop a comment.

Your wordpress site is very sleek – hope you don’t mind me asking what theme
you’re using? (and don’t mind if I steal it?
    :P)

I just launched my site –also built in wordpress like yours– but the
theme slows (!) the site down quite a bit.

In case you have a minute, you can find it by searching for
“royal cbd” on Google (would appreciate any feedback) – it’s still in the
    works.

Keep up the good work– and hope you all take care of yourself during the coronavirus scare!

    1. Hi Justin – thanks for your nice comments. The theme I’m using is ‘Cubic’. Just checked out your site and I think it looks great…! I’ve been too busy to update this blog unfortunately, but now that I have extra time on my hands due to Covid-19, I’m starting to update it again….so we can all start to dream about traveling again…to brighter days ahead! Take care
